About Liz

I was born in Cheltenham, PA just outside of Philadelphia. At about age two I moved to Northern Virginia and lived there until 1986 with the exception of two years spent in Butler, PA with my father’s side of the family.

Like many, I started vacationing on the Outer Banks in the mid 1970’s and my family fell in love instantly. In 1986 my mom and dad were looking to make a change from the “hectic pace” of NOVA and we all moved to Kitty Hawk in May of 1986….I was just about to turn 20. This May, 2016, I just celebrated my 50th birthday and realized I have now lived on the Outer Banks for half my life. I am a lucky girl. Can I call myself a local yet?

I live in a sound front community on the Albemarle Sound in lower Currituck. I live with my boyfriend and 16 year old son, a chocolate lab and three cats. My son is about to enter his junior year in High School and has just earned the rank of “Life” in Troop 117 based out of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. He has his sights on EAGLE.

I love to do anything and everything outside. I love to be in the water and my real passion is to be under the water….I am a licensed PADI Diver but don’t get to scuba often enough.

My dreams of becoming a REALTOR began back in the days I worked at my father’s Shell Station on Columbia Pike. We had a good customer named Mr. Wakeman who was a lifelong REALTOR at Long and Foster. He was my earliest inspiration.

I studied real estate and finance at Northern Virginia Community College and since moving to the Outer Banks most of my work has been related to local real estate. I know the local real estate market inside and out. I have worked in rentals, property management,real estate administration, was a real estate paralegal for a number of years until finally I decided it was time to go into sales and I haven’t looked back. I love what I do and my experience and knowledge of not just sales but rentals, property management, construction and the legal side of things make me the best choice for you. I also co-owned a construction business for over 20 years and have built spec homes for myself and my clients.

I was appointed to the Currituck County Planning Board by a County Commissioner and served for a number of years which gave me a unique insight into development and zoning.

As a full time, full service Outer Banks real estate professional, I work with buyers, sellers and investors in real estate transactions spanning all of the price ranges and property types from high end luxury homes to a beach box between the highways. Whatever your dream is I am here to make it happen. Whether you are buying or selling I will give you 150% each and every day. My success is your success!
